My top recommendations for where to find information about celiac disease, gluten allergy or sensitivity, living a gluten-free lifestyle, and more.
Nadine Grzeskowiak (RN, BSN, CEN), the Gluten Free RN, is a celiac disease expert, patient advocate, client of mine, and a friend. I am so incredibly grateful to know Nadine. I wouldn’t have asked to get tested for celiac this soon had it not been for Nadine’s advice and book, “Dough Nation: A Nurse’s Memoir of Celiac Disease From Missed Diagnosis to Food and Health Activism”. Nadine offers incredible support and knowledge to people who have experienced health problems or ailments that have not been well treated by modern medicine. She has helped countless people transform their lives, become healthy, avoid medications and unnecessary medical treatments simply with a diet change. Nadine offers consultations for individuals, families or groups, public speaking, and gluten education. Learn more and schedule a consultation at glutenfreern.com. Nadine’s book is available on Amazon at the link above.
Gluten Dude is a celiac advocate and a fantastic app with countless restaurants where one can find safe gluten free food throughout the United States. Restaurants are vetted so users know how safe it would be to eat there, and dedicated GF restaurants are easy to find in the app.
Also, follow Gluten Dude on social media and visit his website for helpful information on how to live happily and safely with celiac disease.

Since its founding in 1990, the Celiac Disease Foundation has funded and executed international initiatives in three principal areas to bring an end to the suffering caused by celiac disease: medical research, patient and healthcare provider education, and public policy advocacy.
Celiac.org is a wealth of information not only about celiac disease but how to safely live GF. Anyone with a gluten intolerance is encouraged to refer to celiac.org for information, regardless of a formal celiac diagnosis as these two medical issues go hand-in-hand and should be treated the same.
Kashi Clinical Laboratories, located in Portland, Oregon offers affordable genetic testing for Celiac Disease and other genetic diseases and health conditions. For around $150 you can do a simple cheek swab at home and mail it to Kashi to learn if you carry any of the genes noting Celiac Disease or Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity. (I did this test for my son.)
