Kate’s Ice Cream used to be a pop-up which made it harder to track down when the ice cream craving strikes but they JUST opened their first brick and mortar shop on N. Mississippi Avenue open daily from 12-10pm! This is THE ice cream shop for those with food allergies because a 100% safe eatery is a hidden gem worth celebrating. Kate’s serves waffle cones! And yes, they are GF, DF! This is the only place in Portland where I’m able to eat a waffle cone, or an ice cream cookie sundae.
8-10 flavors are always on rotation, both classic and unique combos such as Cookies & Cream made with homemade Oreos, Marionberry Cobbler (shown above), Pistachio, Dark Chocolate Brownie (shown below), Sea Salt Caramel Peanut Brittle, Mississippi Mayhem, Rosewater Cardamom Almond, and more!
